By the mid-1970s, Rush was under pressure to make more commercial music.
Instead, they released 2112 — an album built around a 20-minute science fiction story that took up an entire side of the record.
Led by Geddy Lee, Alex Lifeson, and Neil Peart, the album became a breakthrough success and helped launch one of the most respected careers in rock history.
Without 2112, there may never have been Moving Pictures, Tom Sawyer, or the Rush we know today.
