Peter Griffin Was Almost Named Larry

Before there was Peter Griffin, there was Larry.

Family Guy creator Seth MacFarlane first developed the idea in a student film called The Life of Larry while attending the Rhode Island School of Design. The main character, Larry, eventually evolved into Peter Griffin, while his talking dog, Steve, became Brian.

It’s one of the coolest behind-the-scenes stories in Family Guy history.
